This mixed media acrylic portrait of iconic Manchester United and England star, Marcus Rashford is the latest sporting portrait added to my collection. This limited edition print features Marcus wearing the famous red of United set to a backdrop of positive messages and archive news footage from the last few years which highlight not only how this young man has grown but what an incredible role model he has become on and off the pitch.
“For me, there is no better role model for young people today than this ‘23-year-old black man from Withington and Wythenshawe, South Manchester’ in my eyes” and agai quoting Rashford’s words. “He quite rightly should never have to apologise, in his own words ‘for who I am and where I came from’. Marcus Rashford even took time to message me to to say, “Thank you Justin, this is amazing” which has made this artwork very special and the recognition means a lot and is why I am now going to add something to the charity he supports through sales of this piece.
This artwork is available in very limited prints with just 50 of each size available and all are hand-signed by the artist. A percentage from every sale will go directly to FARESHARE UK who help to feed millions by redistributing surplus food to people who need it most in the world.
